Vote was taken and the motion passed. Muster Master Report – Bob Mattison - 12 Dec, Monday, at 1130 is our Christmas Luncheon at the Jolly Roger Restaurant in Oceanside. Jeff & Carole Steinorth are hosting and the registration will be in newsletter, via email, and is on our website. - 11-14 Dec are the proposed dates for the Unofficial Beach Group. This is a make your own reservations outing and everyone is invited of course. There are no planned meals but we always seem to have a great time…minus a time or two with the weather. Only 5 RVs are scheduled to go this year. - 21 Jan is the Unofficial Quartzsite Boondockers. They are at it again this year from 21 Jan to whenever you want to leave. This is boondocking time so remember there is no water, no electric, and no sewer. A “honey wagon” and a water delivery can be arranged for you. We are camping in BLM land and the cost is free. It is a lot of fun. If you plan on going boondocking, let Jeff & Carole know at JeffNCarole@aol.com so they can give you the information and lead you to the camping area. There are also RV parks in town but you must make your own reservations immediately as they fill up fast. Some will be at the Rose RV Park and Rice RV Park, both in walking distance from the activities of the Big Tent and some of the bigger shows. - 16-19 Feb is the Unofficial Winterblast trip. It is 4 nights of amazing fireworks in Lake Havasu City, AZ. We are going to be boondocking again. If this is not what you want, there are RV parks in town if you want to use them. Just go to the web and find what you would enjoy. We will be camping outside of town but driving in each evening for the fireworks at Sara Park in Lake Havasu. This is a new trip but should be lots of fun. Let Gretchen Mattison know at gretchendm@aol.com if you plan on going and she will fill you in on the details. - 12-26 Mar is the Unofficial Puerto Penasco, Mexico trip. It is 2 weeks of sun, fun, and lots of fresh seafood, fresh air, and the best of company. Cost of trip is your own gas, your own site fee (reduced group rate), and your own food. If you are interested, contact Roy Allen at RoyAllen@juno.com or Jon Katin at jonandnancy2@comcast.net. - 15-19 Mar is the 1st Qtr Muster at Jojoba Hills Resort in Aguanga. This is an Escapee Private Park about 17 miles east of Temecula. Cost would be $5 to dry camp and $20 for full hookups per day, but anyone in a full hookup site would be away from the group and the sites are scattered throughout the park. Yes, there are showers to be used. We would have the Ranch House for our exclusive use and we are invited to use their pool and spas. There are many retired military and honorably discharged veterans in the park and we could invite them to join us in a happy hour. This is a great recruiting tool. Bill & Sharon Whitaker and Bob & Gretchen Mattison will trail boss. |
